It started with a simple question: What would a studio look like if it were designed for the way we work today, and ready for how we’ll work tomorrow?
In the past decade, the worlds of music, streaming media, film, and gaming have transformed at a pace few could have imagined. What once took months of work by small, focused teams has evolved into productions requiring dozens—sometimes hundreds—of deliverables, each tailored for different platforms and formats. From immersive audio to multi-media experiences, the creative landscape has never been richer—or more complex. Traditional studios, however, are siloed—built for singular use cases and not able to easily adapt to changing needs.
I’ve seen these challenges firsthand. For over 20 years, I worked alongside John Mayer as his recording engineer and co-producer in studios around the globe. As immersive formats and multi-platform workflows became more common, I kept running into the same limitations—studios that were fixed in place, rigid in design, and slow to adapt.
Nu•Studio was born out of the need for something better. We’re building the first adaptive studio platform for today’s rapidly evolving media landscape. At its core is the Nu•Studio System: a modular, reconfigurable infrastructure that adapts as technology, standards, and workflows evolve. It delivers precision-calibrated immersive audio, 270° HDR projection, and integrated workflows in a portable framework that installs in days and can be relocated as needed. Designed for flexibility, it serves everyone from solo artists and independent creators to enterprise teams managing complex transmedia projects.
This is more than a technical solution—it’s about giving creators the freedom to focus on their work, knowing the environment will meet them where they are and where they’re headed.
